What Information do you Gather?

We collect from you only the personal information you voluntarily provide in order to deliver the best possible service.

 

If you choose to process a payment or reservation we ask you to provide us with information necessary to process your order which may include, but not be limited to, name, physical address, telephone number, facsimile number, email address, company name, title, credit card number, expiration date, and storage Space number.

We collect your email address so that we can send you information about your transaction and its status. We may use your email address to inform you about current offers or events. We will never share, sell, or rent individual personal information with anyone without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law. The credit card information that is collected is used strictly for billing purposes.

How we will use your Information?

We collect information about you for a number of reasons.

So that we can take steps to enter into a contract with you and provide services to you once that contract is in place, we collect personal information to:

• identify you and manage any accounts you hold with us;

• contact you for reasons related to the service you have signed up for or to provide information you have requested;

• deal with payment for our services;

• notify you of any changes to our website or to our services that may affect you;

• do a credit check—see 'Credit checking' section below;

• resolve disputes or collect overdue payments;

We also collect personal information to comply with our legal obligations, for example to comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements.

When Will We Contact You?

We may contact you to let you know about any changes to the rental service you have with us or or to provide information you have requested. 

 

When will we contact any other person about you (Secondary Customer)?

If you provide us with details of any other person we can contact to discuss your account, we may contact that person and discuss and share the details of your account with that person and deal with that person in relation to your account as if that person was you.  We may particularly want to do this if we are unable to get in touch with you for any reason. If you change your mind, you can email or write to us and have this person taken off your account as an alternate contact person (see ‘contact us’).

Sharing Your Personal Information

Outdoor Storage at Twin Lakes does not sell information to unrelated third parties. Outdoor Storage at Twin Lakes does send your contact and order information to the facility that you selected for purposes of satisfying your payment or reservation.

Changes to This Online Privacy Policy

Outdoor Storage at Twin Lakes reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Online Privacy Policy at any time. Accordingly, Outdoor Storage at Twin Lakes recommends that you revisit this Online Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure that you are aware of the current privacy practices. Your continued use of the website following any changes signifies your acceptance of these changes.

Personal Information of other Individuals

f you give us information on behalf of someone else, you confirm that the other person has appointed you to act on his/her behalf and has agreed that you can:

• give consent on his/her behalf to the processing of his/her personal data;

• receive on his/her behalf any data protection notices; and

• give consent to the transfer of his/her personal data abroad.

Sensitive Personal Information

We will not usually ask you to provide sensitive personal information. We will only ask you to provide sensitive personal information if we need to for a specific reason, for example, if we believe you are having difficulty dealing with your account due to illness. If we request such information, we will explain why we are requesting it and how we intend to use it.

Sensitive personal information includes information relating to:

• your ethnic origin

• your political opinions

• your religious beliefs

• whether you belong to a trade union

• your physical or mental health or condition

• whether you have committed a criminal offence

Children. We do not knowingly collect personal data relating to children under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 16 and think that we may have information relating to that child, please contact us at twinlakesselfstorage@gmail.com. We will ask you to prove your relationship to the child but if you do so you may (subject to applicable law) request access to and deletion of that child’s personal data.
